Month-End Accounting Close and Period Locks

Review bank imports, invoices, supplier bills and ledger balances before locking a completed accounting period in Accounts.

Open financial reports

Reconcile before locking

Clear unresolved statement imports, compare receivables and payables to their supporting records, and review the trial balance for the period.

Record the review

Retain the reports and note outstanding exceptions. Use the period lock after the authorised reviewer confirms the cut-off and the reporting figures.

Handle late changes

If a late supplier bill affects a closed period, review the posting date and the reason for reopening under your team’s process.
